Prints of Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound and Nantucket Sound Illustrations

I started illustrating seascapes with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a few years ago, integrating the digital process learned from my commercial art work with my traditional fine art work (see slideshow above), the process is time-consuming but I believe the resulting prints are worth the effort. My goal is to illustrate as much of Buzzards Bay, Vineyard and Nantucket Sounds as possible, where I have enjoyed boating for many years. I make giclee prints of my work on Moab archival paper as well as on stretched canvas. Greeting cards are available, sold in variety packs of 5, with envelopes. Most current illustration prints are in my Seascape Art Book for $225 including shipping. Traditional Painting

About Mike Holmes

Thanks for visiting my fine art and illustration website.

For fine art, I work with acrylic on canvas mainly of seascapes of the Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound, Nantucket Sound area where I have spent many years sailing. I also enjoy painting flowers, landscapes, people and pets. I work with watercolor and pencil on paper as well. I started using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to illustrate my favorite seascape scenery a few years ago when I tried it for fun (I’ve used the software for decades commercially) I was happy to be able to achieve the results I was looking for. As a visual arts major in college I was in England for a year which enabled me to study the masters at all the London museums as well as visiting museums in France, Italy, and the Netherlands. Over the years I have received awards in various art shows and shown in galleries such as: The Copley Society in Boston, Norton Gallery in South Dartmouth, Island Gallery in Vineyard Haven, and South Street Gallery in Hingham. Currently in The Drawing Room, New Bedford, MA.
