About Mike Holmes Artist

Thanks for visiting my fine art and illustration website. My studio is in Stoughton, MA.

For fine art, I work with acrylic on canvas mainly of seascapes of the Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound, Nantucket Sound area where I have spent many years sailing. I also enjoy painting flowers, landscapes, people and pets. I work with watercolor and pencil on paper as well. As a visual arts major in college I was in England for a year which enabled me to study the masters at all the London museums as well as visiting museums in France, Italy, and the Netherlands. Over the years I have received awards in various art shows and shown in galleries such as: The Copley Society in Boston, Norton Gallery in South Dartmouth, Island Gallery in Vineyard Haven, and South Street Gallery in Hingham.

For illustration caricature projects I work with traditional methods or digital as the project requires. I mainly use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
