Mike Holmes Artist
Fine art, illustration, cartoons and caricatures
Hi and welcome to my art website. Click a gallery below to view my work.
Fine art paintings and watercolor originals. I use acrylic on canvas and watercolor on paper. Subjects are mainly seascapes and flowers. Pricing is indicated in the slideshow below. Email Mike for additional information. The art is unframed. If you prefer to have it framed, I’ll put together a quote. If you decide to purchase, I’ll email a PayPal invoice and ship when payment is received. Will take about two weeks. Payments are handled through the PayPal website.
The illustrations of seascapes are drawn digitally, the process is very time-consuming but the resulting prints are worth the effort. My goal is to illustrate much of Buzzards Bay, Vineyard and Nantucket Sounds that I have enjoyed viewing for most of my life.
I make prints of the illustrations on archival quality paper, with giclee printing using a high-quality print making company. The approx 20″x16″ prints are $300 each, the four wide pieces, approx 36″x (Salters, Nonquitt, South Beach, West Chop) are $350 each, plus MA sales tax, and shipping. Prints are framed in black wood with a white matte, Email Mike with your selection, I’ll email you a PayPal invoice and when payment is received, will print, frame and ship (prints are available unframed). The process is about 3-4 weeks. Payments are handled through the PayPal website.

About Mike Holmes
Thanks for visiting my fine art and illustration website. My studio is in Stoughton, MA.
For fine art, I work with acrylic on canvas mainly of seascapes of the Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound, Nantucket Sound area where I have spent many years sailing. I also enjoy painting flowers, landscapes, people and pets. I work with watercolor and pencil on paper as well. I started using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to illustrate my favorite seascape scenery a few years ago when I tried it for fun (I’ve used the software for decades commercially) I was happy to be able to achieve the results I was looking for. As a visual arts major in college I was in England for a year which enabled me to study the masters at all the London museums as well as visiting museums in France, Italy, and the Netherlands. Over the years I have received awards in various art shows and shown in galleries such as: The Copley Society in Boston, Norton Gallery in South Dartmouth, Island Gallery in Vineyard Haven, and South Street Gallery in Hingham.
